PaL Lab postdoc Ellie has published a new paper from her doctoral research investigating whether parental schizotypy predicts sensory gating difficulties in their infant offspring. In an adult sample Ellie replicated previous studies showing that EEG habituation to repeated sounds is compromised in schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, but she found that these sensory gating abilities are intact in their 6 month old offspring.
