In July 2022 Becky attended the European Social Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience (ESCAN) Society meeting in Vienna to give a keynote lecture titled:
"Learning under uncertainty: computation, pharmacology, and neurodevelopment"
The keynote opened ESCAN and covered the substantiative three research themes that have made up the work the lab has conducted over the last five years. The talk mostly contained exciting new unpublished data, given disruptions following COVID-19 and was Becky's first in-person talk since 2019!
It was also significant as Becky took along her 3 month old daughter Ottoline to the conference, and with the help of very supportive conference organisers, had her first taste of balancing work alongside a newborn. She even manged to sneek a video of Ottie into the talk as an example of pupillary response to novelty.
